New Zealand Allocates NZ$300,000 to Strengthen Regional Emergency Radio

On 3 November, the Government announced a NZ$300,000 Regional Infrastructure Fund grant for the Regional Emergency Broadcasting programme. The funding will help install backup generators and related infrastructure at 10 independent regional radio stations, with an additional NZ$20,000 in project co-funding. The initiative creates opportunities for broadcasting equipment suppliers, media organisations and communications specialists.
